Iced Café Au Lait

This drink begins more like milk with coffee than coffee with milk but as the coffee cubes melt, it will become stronger and more delicious. A drink that keeps on giving – refreshingly tasty and it will definitely tame a coffee craving. Simple + healthy with only 2 ingredients and no sweeteners.


  • 6+ Coffee Ice Cubes
  • 1 cup Milk (Lactaid 2% for me + bonus it has a slightly sweeter taste)
  • 1/3-1/2 cup brewed coffee


  1. No need for measurements here this is all done by the eyes.
  2. Coffee cubes to glass, pour in milk then layer in coffee- admire the beauty – stir + enjoy.


I save any coffee left in the pot (a rare occurrence but sometimes after a second pot I have to back off the caffeine for a few hours). I usually freeze a tray of cubes and pour the rest in a jar and refrigerate it for iced coffee drinks and smoothies.
If you are in the mood for a blended iced coffee, just add these ingredients to your blender – you could also add coconut oil for a healthy boost. I recommend the Ninja Blender, it is what I have (I have a Navy Blue One without the extras – it is amazing!) and can completely crush the ice into the smoothest, creamiest drink ever – think Slushie consistency.
